Silver screen Betty

I hold a great fascination with movies from the silent era in the twenties. The costumes, the sets, the escapism, the over the top drama of it all.

My friends and I produced our own movie stills getting into character with our minimal resources. We took many photographs creating different scenarios and had a laugh along the way.

Using my photographs as the templates for lithographs and silkscreens and with the use of bright colours, I transposed my images into the future.
