This photograph was taken in the market area of Dublin 7 which is under construction. The market itself now closed and the area is being bombarded with the construction of hotels. Now, instead of traders, we have builders in hard hats and fluorescent jackets. These two chairs sit outside one of the spaces being converted. On their break time the builders pop out, sit down on the chairs, catch a ray of light and smoke a fag. The chairs are a symbol of what is happening there at the moment.
