This shop has been around since the 1700s. It was a drapers shop around the 1916 rising so it holds a lot of stories. Unfortunately this bookshop is now closed and the building has just been sold. It’s faith now hangs in the air. Independent shops like this are disappearing in Ireland one by one. I was happy I got this photograph before its fait was sealed.
