This photograph shows two different parts of Dublin's city centre. The bright yellow wall of the amusement arcade stands out against the old brick warehouse next to it, with its windows covered with metal grid while plants sprout out of cracks. Together they show the city's history in layers, where old Victorian industrial buildings sit next to newer commercial ones, each telling a different part of Dublin's story.

I am always attracted to buildings that seem forgotten. The covered windows, faded signs and worn surfaces hint at lives and businesses that have long gone, yet the buildings still quietly watch the city's changes. Their neglected look makes us think about the people who once worked there and the stories that happened behind the closed windows.

The warehouse stands as a reminder of Dublin's industrial history.   The simple aged signage telling you not to park in front of it yet it is very rare not to have cars and vans blocking the whole corner. Any days I glance up while passing on the Luas the area is packed with cars. It was pure luck the day I went in to take this photo that the area was clear. The city is changing, new development now replace old buildings that give these streets their unique feel.

With photos like this, I try to save these often ignored city places before they change or vanish completely. By capturing the everyday buildings of Dublin, I want to build a visual record that shows these buildings matter not because they are grand, but because of the memories, work and daily lives they have quietly held for many years.
